Shame on you AGAIN Carl Lewis

Image
One Caribbean Nation. Usain Bol;t Carl Lewis We have had occasion to question the obvious venom, Carl Lewis seems to reserve for Usain Bolt. Lewis’ unusual obsession with Bolt, has now influenced him to declare that Bolt’s imminent departure from the scene, will be good for the sport and create more opportunities for higher levels of corporate sponsorship. In Lewis’ bizarre mind, when Americans are not dominating the field, corporate sponsorship tends to decline. He is therefore calling for a return of American dominance. Regional Leadership is Lacking

The Caribbean Is One Nation. CARICOM Flag West Indies Cricket Once more our Caribbean leaders have concluded another summit (CARICOM Summit 36 th Heads of Government Conference, concluded Barbados July 4 th , 2017) and as expected myriad matters have been left undone, untouched or downright ignored. It is now obvious that unless new, enlightened leadership springs up, we can expect no real solutions to many of the problems we currently face. It is very sad but very true We still cannot solve the problems with LIAT and it must be a source of great concern to both the workers and the travelling public, that we cannot successfully operate a single airline. To put back the Committee (CARICOM sub-Committee on Cricket) which would focus on whether we are prepared to drop the issue and interestingly after I spoke, not another sound was made

The Caribbean Is One Nation. Mrs. Portia Simpson-Miller “Social justice and commonsense alike dictate the need for a systematic programme of legislation and institutional modification to the end that women take their full and equal part as direct and involved participants in society and contributors to the process of change. Laws must be revised to remove all traces of discrimination, training programmes must be devised and job opportunities scrutinized to ensure full equality of opportunity . Economic development must be planned with the needs of women in the employment area fully in mind. In this way, one will simultaneously satisfy the principle of equality and release to the use and benefit of the society, the enormous reservoir of energy and talent that is locked away in the female half of the population. Jamaica must work consciously towards a situation in which women paly a full part in every aspect of national life, bringing to bear their equivalent general abilities tog
