One Caribbean Nation. Pudding and Souse The dish Pudding and Souse is a traditional Saturday lunch for many Bajans. The souse is essentially pickled pork and the "pudding" is steamed sweet potato. Traditionally souse was made using the pig trotters (feet), ear, snout and tongue. Today, many people prefer to use lean pork meat instead. The pudding is traditionally served in a casing of pig intestines (similar to sausages) but this is optional. Every Bajan has their favourite dining spot to enjoy this delicacy, or has a "pudding and souse lady" from whom they order on a weekly basis. (WSBTV) Dorothy Steel  is a living testament to the adage “it’s never too late to pursue your dreams.” And the 92-year-old Atlantan got her big break when she was 91 years old, landing a role in the mega hit  Black Panther  as the Merchant Tribal Elder giving advice to the King of Wakanda. Steel told  WSBTV  in Atlanta that she didn’t even pursue acting until she was 88! Jamaican gymnast astounds Toni-Ann Williams Jamaica's Toni-Ann Williams defied the odds to lead the University of California Berkeley to an upset win over the number-4 ranked Utah in what was a closely contested battle in collegiate gymnastics on Saturday. Competing with a bruised knee that was supposed to have kept her from contesting the floor routine for the second meet in a row, Williams landed an impressive dismount on the beam and then surprised everyone. “She landed her beam dismount and said 'Gosh, that felt good. One Caribbean Nation.                                   WEEK - END COMMENT Once more we are confronted with the sad reality, that the potential for a truly Caribbean nation state, is approaching full disarray. The major players on this occasion are: Jamaica, Guyana and St. Lucia. A report presented by former Prime Minister of Jamaica, Mr. Bruce Golding, has advised the government of Jamaica to seriously reexamine, the benefits of the Caribbean Single Market economy(CSME).   The report is suggesting that if Jamaica cannot identify the benefits of such membership, it should abandon the CSME. This would be music to the ears of Prime Minister Andrew Holness, whose negativity toward regional integration, is approaching legendary status. On more than one occasion, the Mahogany Coconut Group, has asked Holness to mend his ways to no avail. We cannot jump to conclusions regarding Guyana ...
