Letter from Brooklyn

Thanks to House Speaker, Kevin McCarthy, for courageously giving, previously unseen video footage of the 2021, January 06 riot, at the Capitol, to Fox News Tucker Carlson.  Carlson in turn released it to the general public for viewing.  Now the genie is out of the bottle and some of the secret political 'swamp' creatures - some Democrats and Republicans- are scurrying like rats on a sinking ship, while making loud calls for censorship of the press.  The video snippet clearly showed that exculpatory evidence was withheld, thereby depriving some defendants of their right to a fair trial.

In their twisted and self-righteous world, the January 06 commission - formed to investigate the events of January 06- apparently restricted the public from seeing both sides of the story.  What Chutzpah! The new videos have cast some doubt on the motives of the January 06 commission - with their patchwork of selective coverage. According to the National Review, army veteran, Ashli Babbit was the only person shot and killed by a Capitol police officer - no law enforcement officers were.  The press must not be muzzled, and the peoples' right to know must never be compromised.

In a recent interview, Speaker McCarthy has now promised to release all of the footage to the public.  Long live the Republic and freedom of the press.
The crowd should have stayed outside and not enter the Capital Building.
