Hate Crimes Against Gays In Barbados Continue

                                                              The Caribbean Is One Nation.

Mr. Darcy Dear
Mr. Darcy Dear, The president of the United Gays and Lesbians Association of Barbados, has been the victim of what appears to the Mahogany Coconut Group to be a hate crime against gays. According to Mr. Dear, some deviant young men, stole coconuts form his property. He pursued them in his truck but the truck broke down and he went off to seek assistance. On his return he found his truck vandalized and there was evidence of the perpetrators using gay slurs.
The Mahogany Coconut Group condemns this latest assault on the gay community in Barbados. We will not be silent or silenced, on our position that the gay community in Barbados and throughout the entire Caribbean nation must be allowed to live and enjoy all the benefits of our heterosexual community. We are therefore calling on law enforcement agencies, to treat this assault on Mr. Dear as a top priority and bring the culprits to justice.

The MCG is still awaiting the results of the investigation surrounding the incident, during Barbados Crop Over festivities, when a gay flag person was assaulted and missiles were thrown at him. We expect those who committed this act to be soon brought to justice.
